It’s my favorite time of year. That week that I venture up to my attic space to my clothing storage and start schlepping boots and sweaters down the stairs. There’s nothing that’s more comfy to me than throwing on leggings, a pair of riding boots, an oversized sweater and heading out the door. It seems like just yesterday I was sharing some of my favorite summer looks on The SCOOP! But when I start seeing all the chunky knits and sueded booties start arriving in stores, my heart skips a beat. I know that the closet is about to get even more packed. So of COURSE I wanted spread the love and share my 5 favorite sweaters and boots that I’ve come across in our local downtown Saratoga shops.

MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH BOOTS

The boot thing runs deep. When I was growing up, I always knew that a tall boot was flattering on my thick legs. And although the styles changed with each passing year, my boots were always a utilitarian closet staple of mine. They allowed me to wear things (like leggings or skinny jeans) that I NEVER would have felt comfortable in. They always did their job. At this point, they really could have a closet of their own. My husband is able to spot that large rectangular box in the corner of our room and ask … “do you REALLY need another pair”? Well, I don’t NEED them but…

Now I don’t have the same relationships with sweaters as I have with my boots. BUT I don’t know a girl who doesn’t love a good, go-to cozy sweater. I’m loving the coatigans and oversized knits this season, especially those ones that cover my thighs. Below are just a few of the many gorgeous sweaters I spotted when out and about this week. As always, my goal is to bring all of Saratoga’s pretty things to YOU. All details of the items are listed below the images.

XO,

Ally
